«Los años difíciles» is the testimony of the anonymous protagonists of the Spanish Civil War and the postwar period, edited by Carlos Elordi, in paperback (400 pages).
The book brings together diaries and letters that were not written to be published, but addressed to family or friends; that is why they retain the spontaneity and sincerity of intimate testimony. Their authors, anonymous people, narrate the years before the Republic, the Civil War, the harsh postwar period, the era of hunger and the struggle for life.
Edited by Carlos Elordi, with a prologue by Iñaki Gabilondo. Some testimonies were read on the radio programme Hoy por hoy. Published by Punto de Lectura in 2003.
For readers interested in the contemporary history of Spain, the Civil War and personal testimonies of everyday life.
