«Aire negre» is the young adult suspense novel by Agustín Fernández Paz, published by Edicions Bromera, S.L. in paperback (184 pages).
Doctor Molde attends to his first patient at a psychiatric clinic, Laura Novo, an autistic woman with no memory who spends the whole day compulsively writing her name. The doctor tries to get Laura to remember the previous months, when a dark shadow seemed to dominate her life; neither of them imagines that recovering that past opens the door to a terrible reality.
Aire negre belongs to the Espurna collection (no. 51) and includes a translation by Josep Franco Martínez. It won the Premi Protagonista Jove 2001 in the 14–16 age category.
Recommended for young readers aged 14 and up, especially those who enjoy psychological suspense and young adult mystery novels.
