«Lisbon Blues» is the poetry collection by José Luiz Tavares, published by Abysmo in paperback (107 pages, in Portuguese).
The collection approaches Lisbon from everyday experience and literary memory: streets, cafés, viewpoints and trams cross paths with voices like Cesário, Pessoa and Nemésio. Tavares composes a mixed and emotional view of urban space, where the real and the mythical merge in verses about identity, desire and collective memory.
For readers of poetry and Portuguese literature interested in Lisbon and its literary memory.
