A. A. Milne was born in London and studied mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge.
Before his literary career, he served as an officer in the British Army during World War I.
His most famous work, Winnie-the-Pooh, was published in 1926 and was inspired by his son, Christopher Robin.
Milne stopped writing children's literature when his son grew up, as he considered him his primary source of inspiration.
Although he achieved worldwide fame with his children's stories, he also wrote numerous works for adults, novels, and essays.
