«L'infidel» is the contemporary fiction novel by Francesc Joan Bodí Beneyto, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (272 pages, in Valencian).
Amadeu, a cultured professor in his late thirties, feels an inexplicable chill that makes him question his life. The novel bitterly demystifies the Spanish Transition and revisits the expectations, doubts and betrayals of a generation, while also proposing a second transition, now personal.
The work belongs to the L'Eclèctica collection (no. 70) and was published in 2000. The novel won the Premi Enric Valor de Novel·la 1999 and the Premi de la Crítica dels Escriptors Valencians in 2001.
Reading for adults aged 16 and over, especially for those interested in contemporary Valencian narrative and generational stories.
