«Les désaxés» is the novel by Christine Angot, published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (154 pages, in French).
A woman recalls the day he embraced her and told her he loved her; that happiness clashes with the disorder, the smell of cold tobacco and the open windows in winter. There were strange signs they did not heed. Christine Angot returns to the intimate, to the unease of living, to the demands and the desolations of love.
The original work appeared in 2004 and won the France Culture Prize in 2005. This edition, number 30495 in the Le Livre de Poche collection, was published in February 2006.
