«Le Petit Prince raconté aux enfants» is the illustrated album by Saint-Exupéry and Osborne, published by Gallimard jeunesse in hardback (36 pages, in French).
An aviator lost in the desert meets a little prince who evokes his planet, his rose and his travels. This abridged version of the original text preserves the tenderness of the tale and its reflections on friendship and loss, illustrated with images from the animated film.
The subtitle, «Texte original abrégé», indicates that the original text has been abridged. The French edition, from 2015, is part of the Albums Gallimard Jeunesse series.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 10, with abridged text suitable for a first approach to the classic.
Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, vicomte de Saint-Exupéry, known simply as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was a French writer, poet, journalist and aviator.
