Désirée, an urban librarian, visits the grave of her late husband. At the cemetery she runs into Benny, a farmer who tends his mother's grave and lives with his dairy cows. They exasperate each other until a shared smile ignites a passion between two opposing ways of life, with humour and tenderness.
First instalment of the series «Grabben i graven bredvid». Translated from Swedish by Lena Grumbach and Catherine Marcus; edition in the Babel collection.
For readers of contemporary romance looking for humour and a culture-clash story.
