«Le journal de Zlata» is the testimonial diary of Zlata Filipović, published by Pocket in paperback (207 pages, in French).
Zlata Filipović, a girl from Sarajevo, recounts in her diary how the Bosnian war breaks into her life from 1991 to 1993: bombings, scarcity and fear coexist with games and studies, while her childhood fades away. Her innocent and lucid gaze turns the text into a testimony of the siege of Sarajevo and of resilience in the face of adversity.
Subtitle on cover: «Une enfant dans la guerre». The cover includes a photograph of Zlata Filipović and the motto «Give peace a chance?» written by hand.
Will appeal to readers of testimonies and historical diaries, and to those who want to approach the siege of Sarajevo from a personal experience.
Zlata Filipović is a Bosnian-Irish diarist. She kept a diary from 1991 to 1993 when she was a child living in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, later published as a book.
