«Le concours du Millénaire» is the volume that brings together the fantasy trilogy by Roger Zelazny and Robert Sheckley, published by Editions Gallimard in paperback.
The demon Azzie presents himself as a candidate for the forces of evil in the Millennium contest, which will decide whether good or evil rules human destiny for a thousand years. To do so, he recreates a fairy tale and resurrects Princess Scarlet and Prince Charmant, but things do not go as he expects.
It brings together the three novels in the series: «Apportez-moi la tête du prince Charmant», «A Faust, Faust et demi» and «Le démon de la farce». Text in French; 1008 pages.
For readers of fantasy and science fiction who appreciate humour and the reinterpretation of myths and classic tales.
Robert Sheckley was an American writer. First published in the science-fiction magazines of the 1950s, his many quick-witted stories and novels were famously unpredictable, absurdist, and broadly comical.
