«Las aventuras del buen soldado Svejk» is Jaroslav Hašek's satirical novel, published by Galaxia Gutenberg in paperback (740 pages, in Spanish).
Set during World War I, it follows Josef Svejk, a soldier in the Austro-Hungarian army whose apparent naivety and obedience turn every military order into an absurdity. Between courts, dungeons and asylums, his adventures are a satire of war and power.
This edition includes illustrations by Josef Lada and a direct translation from the Czech by Monika Zgustova. The work was originally published in 1921.
A work for those interested in Czech classics and satire.
