«La Vall de la Llum» is the family chronicle by Toni Cruanyes, published by Destino CAT in hardback (384 pages, in Catalan).
The author reconstructs the life of his grandfather, who lived through nearly the entire twentieth century, and that of a generation that survived a war as children and faced the pandemic in a nursing home. The work blends memories and secrets with the awakening of a rural village in transformation. A true chronicle in novelistic form.
Winner of the Premi Josep Pla 2022, it was published on 2 February 2022 and belongs to the L'Àncora collection (volume 275).
For readers of memoirs and family chronicles, and for those interested in rural Catalonia in the twentieth century.
