«La trobada amb la realitat» is the essay by Núria Garcia Caldés and Vicente Ferrer Moncho, published by Columna CAT in paperback (304 pages, in Catalan).
The book starts from the big questions about identity, God and the meaning of existence to argue that the Earth rests on four pillars: the human being, humanity, God and the irrational world. Ferrer maintains that suffering is not meant to be understood but to be resolved, and that action contains all ideologies, philosophies and religions. A work full of positive thoughts and hope that seeks to fill the spiritual voids of those who doubt and encourages intervention against poverty and the suffering of humanity.
It belongs to the IDEES collection from Columna CAT. The author, Vicenç Ferrer, lived in India for fifty years and led the Fundació Vicenç Ferrer, dedicated to eradicating poverty among the most disadvantaged sectors.
For readers interested in existential reflection, spirituality and social thought inspired by Vicenç Ferrer's experience in India.
