«La redenzione di Althalus» is the fantasy novel by David and Leigh Eddings, published by Sperling & Kupfer in hardback (683 pages, in Italian).
Althalus is a cunning and charismatic thief whose good luck allows him to rob peasants and escape without being caught. When that streak ends, he agrees to ally with a mysterious traveler to steal a book containing the formulas of good and evil, hidden in the House at the End of the Earth. Very powerful forces will try to stop him.
The work was originally published in English as The Redemption of Althalus in 2000; this Italian edition, translated by L. De Angelis, appeared in 2004.
David Carroll Eddings was an American fantasy writer. With his wife Leigh, he authored several best-selling epic fantasy novel series, including The Belgariad (1982–84), The Malloreon (1987–91), The Elenium (1989–91), The Tamuli (1992–94), and The Dreamers (2003–06). Whether credited as the sole author or with Leigh, David Eddings wrote over two dozen novels.
