After a devastating flood destroys their village and kills their parents, brothers Idar and Cicine are left to fend for themselves. They move to Marrakech, settling into an apartment building occupied by the Moroccan middle class. While they begin to heal from their trauma, their new life is disrupted by the arrival of Islamist students determined to convert their neighbors to radical Islam. Idar must rely on the love of the beautiful Leïla to resist, while Cicine struggles with the regret of not having convinced his brother to rebuild their home in the village.
