La magnitud de la tragedia is a novel by the writer Quim Monzó, published in 1990. The plot explores themes such as love, hate, loneliness and the inevitability of death through characters with excessive ambitions and illnesses. The novel, with an elegant style and a sober structure, offers a grotesque and dehumanized portrait of everyday desires and contradictions, weaving an allegorical spider web about the human condition in a comedic key.
