«La ley de la calle» is the young adult novel by S. E. Hinton, published by Círculo de Lectores in paperback (131 pages, in Spanish).
Rusty James looks back on the episodes that marked his youth in a hostile urban environment: confrontations, his time in a reformatory, party nights of alcohol and drugs, and the imprint of his idol, the Motorcycle Boy. To make his way in that world, one must abide by its rules, and the cost of having done so is hard to forget.
Work originally published as «Rumble Fish», with translation by Javier Lacruz. It belongs to the Onda Joven collection.
It is aimed at young readers and fans of realistic coming-of-age narrative set in hostile urban environments.
