«La felicidad de la tierra» is Manuel Leguineche's field diary, published by Alfaguara in hardback (480 pages, in Spanish).
Manuel Leguineche began this diary in 1986 from a stone house in the middle of the countryside, in La Alcarria. Between trips to world events, the author notes peasant life, games at the tavern, the seasons, animals, and storms. It is a personal vision of nature and of a rural culture he feels part of.
The book belongs to Alfaguara's Hispánica series and was published on September 9, 1999.
For readers of memoirs, journalism, and travel literature, with an interest in the portrait of rural Spain.
