«La conferencia. El plagio sostenible» is a novel by Pepe Monteserín, published by Lengua de Trapo in paperback (392 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist presents at a conference the idea that the entire history of literature is a universal plagiarism. The narrative combines reality and fiction, novel and essay, and in the days before the event interweaves a bibliophile's passion for the woman who guards an immense library.
It is part of the Desórdenes collection, Biblioteca de Ensayo, number 17, and received the Juan Gil Albert Essay Prize at the 23rd edition of the Ciudad de Valencia Literary Awards.
For bibliophiles and literature lovers who enjoy hybrid, labyrinthine texts full of references to other works.
