«Juegos de fantasía» is a children's book by Gianni Rodari, published by Editorial Luis Vives (Edelvives) in paperback (120 pages, in Spanish).
It starts from the idea that a story does not end on its last page and leaves room for the reader to keep imagining. The work brings together tales, poems and couplets that invite play, blending the everyday with the magic of language.
Volume 40 of the Ala Delta collection (Green series). Translated from the Italian by Mario Merlino Tornini, with illustrations by Rosalba Catamo.
For readers aged 10 and up, especially those who enjoy stories and poetry and want to keep playing with fantasy once the book is closed.
Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
