«Invasió subtil i altres contes» is the short story collection by Pere Calders, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
In these stories, Pere Calders offers an ironic view of everyday life, where the fantastic breaks in to question what seems normal. He satirizes stubbornness and lack of imagination, portraying the absurdity of human behavior with intelligent humor, sometimes indulgent and sometimes corrosive.
The work was originally published in 1978 and received the Lletra d'Or Prize in 1979; this 2002 edition belongs to the Butxaca collection and its cover indicates the 30th edition.
Aimed at secondary school students and readers of Catalan fiction, as this edition includes a preliminary study and didactic tools.
