«Invasió subtil i altres contes» is the short story collection by Pere Calders, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
The stories combine humour, irony and a slightly pessimistic view of human behaviour. Imagination and fantasy end up questioning the apparent normality of things. The volume brings together seventeen stories not previously included in any book and twenty-six contes breus.
Antologia catalana collection, no. 93. Includes a prologue by Joan Melcion and didactic material by Joan Martínez Sala. Winner of the Lletra d'Or Prize and the Crítica Serra d'Or Prize for Stories and Narrations in 1979.
Recommended for readers interested in the fantastic tale and twentieth-century Catalan short narrative.
