«Intemperie» is the literary novel by Jesús Carrasco, published by Booket in paperback format (224 pages, in Spanish).
A boy flees his home and crosses an arid plain to escape the men who are looking for him. On his way he meets an old goatherd; together they travel through a closed world, without names or dates, where drought and violence have eroded everything. A harsh and lyrical tale about human dignity and initiation.
This Booket paperback edition was published in 2019; the novel was Jesús Carrasco's first and has been adapted to film by Benito Zambrano.
For readers of literary fiction and contemporary Spanish narrative with an interest in rural-set stories.
