«Jesús de Nazaret» is the theological essay by Joseph Ratzinger (Benedicto XVI), published by La Esfera de los Libros in hardback (448 pages, in Spanish).
Joseph Ratzinger, now as Benedicto XVI, reflects on the figure of Jesus from his baptism to the transfiguration. Against reconstructions that separate the Jesus of the Gospels from the historical Jesus, he maintains that the Gospel account is historically convincing and that an extraordinary event explains the origin of Christology.
First part of the series «Jesús de Nazaret», subtitled «Desde el bautismo a la transfiguración». Spanish translation by Carmen Bas.
Aimed at readers interested in Christian theology, Christology, and the historical figure of Jesus.
