«In der Brandung» is the crime and suspense novel by Gianrico Carofiglio, published by Goldmann Verlag in paperback (284 pages, in German).
Roberto, a retired ex-policeman haunted by an undercover mission in Latin America, meets Lucía, a former actress tormented by remorse, in their psychiatrist's office. The bond between them and her lonely son, who seems to live in a world of dreams, shape a story of guilt, redemption, and threats.
The German edition translates the original Italian novel «Il silenzio dell'onda» (2011), nominated for the Strega Prize in 2012.
Suitable for readers of crime fiction, thrillers, and mysteries, and for followers of Gianrico Carofiglio's narrative.
