In 'Involuntary Witness', Gianrico Carofiglio presents us with a legal thriller set in the city of Bari. The plot revolves around the murder of a child and the initial accusation against a Senegalese immigrant. Guido Guerreri, a lawyer looking for a new purpose, decides to take on the defense and prove his client's innocence. As the investigation progresses, Guerreri discovers that the truth may be hidden in the least expected testimony. This novel, which challenges the conventions of the genre, will keep the reader in suspense until the last page.
