«Guillermo y el miedo» is the children's story by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Santillana Educación, S.L. in paperback (72 pages, in Spanish).
Guillermo, a six-year-old boy, is convinced that fear is for babies, so he tries to appear brave. But when night comes, the fear returns, and he keeps it to himself in silence. The story addresses this everyday experience and shows how parents' help is key for children to recognise and overcome their fears.
First edition (2016), with translation by Cristina Rodriguez Aguilar. Part of the yellow series (+6) from Loqueleo; the illustrations are by the author herself.
For early readers aged 6 and up, and for parents or educators who want to support children in managing fear.
