Frankenstein ou le Prométhée moderne es una novela gótica de la escritora inglesa Mary Shelley. Publicada en 1818, la obra narra la historia de Victor Frankenstein, un joven científico que, obsesionado con la idea de vencer a la muerte, crea un ser monstruoso a partir de partes de cadáveres.
