«Ficciones y divertimentos» is a collection of short stories by Mariano Ucelay, published by Editorial Dossoles in paperback (159 pages, in Spanish).
In these stories and mini-stories, Mariano Ucelay suggests that the real and the unreal can be equivalent and even reversible options, and leaves open the question of whether we can tell wakefulness from dream. The absurd creeps into daily life and humour sometimes borders on madness, without the author offering closed answers.
Ficciones y divertimentos was published in 2009 within the «La Valija Diplomática» series by Editorial Dossoles.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in short pieces that combine metaphysical reflection, humour and narrative games.
