«El rojo de las flores» is the historical novel by Anita Amirrezvani, published by Salamandra in paperback (416 pages, in Spanish).

Set in 17th-century Persia, it follows a young woman who, after losing her father, moves to Isfahan and learns the art of carpet weaving from her uncle. Her talent for creating these pieces offers her a way to change her life in a society of marked differences.

The work corresponds to volume 79 of the Letras de Bolsillo collection and was selected for the longlist of the Orange Prize in 2008. The original title is The Blood of Flowers.
