«El que escribe» is a collection of ten short narratives by Jesús Díez, published by Editorial Adarve in paperback (86 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together ten stories that delve into the inner life of someone who has decided to devote themselves to writing. Matters such as love, heartbreak, childhood memories, youthful desire and disappointment at unattained goals appear as common threads, and each tale invites readers to look inside that friend or acquaintance who one day made that decision.
First edition published in September 2021; it is part of the Biblioteca de Narrativa Breve collection.
For readers of contemporary short fiction in Spanish who appreciate stories centred on the intimacy of the writer.
