«El perquè de tot plegat» is the short story collection by Quim Monzó, published by Quaderns Crema in paperback (169 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together thirty self-contained stories that, read together, map out human uncertainty and contradictions. Monzó's concise, seemingly simple style turns each piece into an exercise in narrative precision, with a lucid gaze and a touch of irony.
Part of the Mínima de butxaca series, in which it appeared as number 48; first edition 1993.
Suitable for readers of contemporary short fiction and for those who follow Catalan literature.
