«El nen» is the children's picture book by Colas Gutman, published by Animallibres in hardback (32 pages, in Catalan).
Leonardo is a city boy, curious and somewhat philosophical, who gets bored during trips to the countryside with his parents. On a walk he meets a sheep, a cow, a hen and a wolf, who ask him what the use of a child is. The story, in the manner of a fable, reflects with humour on the place of human beings in nature.
The book is number 17 in the L'Arca collection, with illustrations by Emilio Urberuaga and translation by Isabel Obiols.
Aimed at readers aged 7 to 12; it deals with nature, identity and critical thinking.
