«El miajón de los castúos (Rapsodias extremeñas)» is the poetic work of Luis Chamizo, published by Espasa-Calpe in paperback (158 pages, in Spanish).
Luis Chamizo writes these rhapsodies in the speech of Extremadura and portrays the life, customs and character of the castúos. Far from the pure poetry of his time, his poetic voice turns to the land and makes the people of the Extremaduran countryside the protagonists of an epic of identity.
The work belongs to the Austral Collection of Espasa-Calpe and includes a prologue by José Ortega Munilla.
A title for readers of Spanish regionalist poetry and for those interested in Extremaduran literature and its dialects.
