«Dins el darrer blau» is the contemporary fiction novel by Carme Riera, published by labutxaca in paperback format (448 pages, in Catalan).
The novel opens with an evocative episode that, as in Byzantine novels, gives way to a choral plot and a journey through very diverse characters. Riera combines grotesque and bitter passages with magnificent descriptions, and makes the reader rediscover the power of literature and the spell of storytelling.
Winner of the Premi Josep Pla 1994 and distinguished with the Premi Joan Crexells, the Premi Lletra d'Or and the Premio Nacional de Narrativa. Belongs to the Labutxaca Biblio Autor collection.
For those who enjoy contemporary narrative and historical fiction, especially the work of Carme Riera.
