«Despullats» is the essay by Víctor Alexandre and Joel Joan, published by Proa in 2003 in paperback (240 pages, in Catalan).
The book reflects on Catalan identity: how Catalans see themselves, how they are perceived by others, and how they really are. It also considers how they would like to be and how their current behaviour will condition their future. Alexandre's prologue defends the title as a call to speak openly in the face of uncomfortable silences, such as that of resignation.
Published in Barcelona on 4 April 2003, it is volume number 12 of Proa's Debat collection.
A book for readers interested in identity and social debate about Catalonia.
