«Demelza» is the historical novel by Winston Graham, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (421 pages, in Spanish).
Demelza, a miner's daughter, was rescued by Ross Poldark at a fair and is now his wife. Set in Cornwall at the end of the 18th century, the novel follows her efforts to adapt to high society while the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars loom on the horizon. The birth of her first child brings joy, but also sows the dispute with the Warleggans.
Second instalment of the Poldark saga, originally published in 1946. Translation by Aníbal Leal; hardback with dust jacket.
For readers of historical and romantic fiction, and as a natural continuation of the Poldark saga for those who already know the first instalment.

Winston Mawdsley Graham OBE, born Winston Grime, was an English novelist best known for the Poldark series of historical novels set in Cornwall, though he also wrote numerous other works, including contemporary thrillers, period novels, short stories, non-fiction and plays. Graham was the author's pseudonym until he changed his name by deed poll from Grime to Graham on 7 May 1947.
