«Demelza» is the historical novel by Winston Graham, published by Ágata in paperback (440 pages, in Spanish).
In late eighteenth-century Cornwall, Ross Poldark rescues Demelza, a miner's daughter, at a fair, and she becomes his wife. Her attempts to adapt to the ways of the nobility cause her confusion and sorrow, though the birth of her first child brings her joy. At the same time, the conflict with the Warleggans begins to take shape.
It is the second novel in Winston Graham's Poldark saga, originally published in 1946. This Spanish edition, translated by Aníbal Leal, belongs to Ágata's Bestseller collection.
Aimed at readers of historical and romantic fiction, as well as followers of the Poldark saga.

Winston Mawdsley Graham OBE, born Winston Grime, was an English novelist best known for the Poldark series of historical novels set in Cornwall, though he also wrote numerous other works, including contemporary thrillers, period novels, short stories, non-fiction and plays. Graham was the author's pseudonym until he changed his name by deed poll from Grime to Graham on 7 May 1947.
