«Dear Greenpeace» is Simon James's children's picture book, published in 2016 in paperback (32 pages, in English).
Told through the letters Emily writes to Greenpeace, the story shows a girl convinced that a whale lives in her pond. Worried about whether it is happy, she asks the environmental organisation for advice, which replies that such an animal cannot fit in a pond. Emily does not give up and looks for the best way to help it.
25th anniversary edition of this classic; Simon James is also the illustrator. The cover imitates a postage stamp with a Plymouth postmark and a night scene of Emily writing.
For readers aged 3 to 7, with a story that invites caring for nature and animals.
James Simon was a German composer, pianist and musicologist.
