«Cuentos» is the collection of folk tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, published by Ediciones Cátedra in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).
The selection recovers tales by the Brothers Grimm that are little known or poorly understood, in complete versions and without the typical adjustments of juvenile adaptations. It was the first collection of tales compiled with a scientific perspective, and several of the included tales have links to the Spanish narrative tradition.

Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm, also known as Ludwig Karl, was a German author, linguist, philologist, jurist, and folklorist. He formulated Grimm's law of linguistics, and was the co-author of the Deutsches Wörterbuch, the author of Deutsche Mythologie, and the editor of Grimms' Fairy Tales. He was the older brother of Wilhelm Grimm; together, they were the literary duo known as the Brothers Grimm.
