«Cròniques de la veritat oculta» is the short story collection by Pere Calders, published by Educaula in paperback in 2009 (352 pages, in Catalan).
In these stories, Pere Calders builds an imaginary territory where fantasy and the dream universe coexist; the characters' behaviour and events acquire a deeper reading there. With a tone and language of great precision, Pere Calders reflects on the human condition, and his style places him as a master of the short story.
The Educaula edition belongs to the Educació 62 collection and includes a preliminary study and supplementary materials by Joan Martor. Cròniques de la veritat oculta received the Premi Víctor Català in 1954.
Edition designed for young people aged 14 and over, for both individual reading and school work in Catalan.
