«Bastardo» is the novel by Hakan Günday, translated by Suleyman Matos, published by Bunker Books in paperback (292 pages, in Spanish).
Four young people from good Istanbul families, far from the tourist city, drift between parties, nightclubs, alcohol and ready meals. Their selfishness and sociopathic gaze make them misfits out of laziness, not ideals, and the novel follows the spiral of self-destruction into which they sink.
The novel was first published in 2003 under the original title «Piç»; this Spanish edition appeared in 2019.
