Bar Sport is a human comedy set in the mythical bar. Stefano Benni opens the door to a world that becomes a familiar place par excellence. The Bar Sport is the one where a pinball machine, a coin-operated telephone and above all the 'Luisona' cannot be missing, the Paleolithic brioche condemned to a perennial exhibition in perennial waiting for its consumer. Legends flourish in the Bar Sport, that of Piva (footballer with a prodigious shot), that of Cenerutolo (the dishwasher who dreams of being a waiter) and summer hallucinations. Benni has written his little human comedy.
Stefano Benni was an Italian satirical writer, poet and journalist. His books have been translated into around 20 foreign languages and scored notable commercial success. 2.5 million copies of his books have been sold in Italy.
