«Bajas esferas, altos fondos» is the novel by Jesús Pardo, published by Editorial Losada in paperback (385 pages, in Spanish).
Set in the diplomatic London of Franco's dictatorship, the novel follows corrupt diplomats, high-class prostitutes and unscrupulous journalists who climb from the lower spheres to the upper depths. The intrigues converge at the Don Juan cabaret and lead to a grotesque ending, with earthy, irreverent humour and a picaresque air.
Published in 2005, it is the first edition and belongs to the Narrativa collection of Editorial Losada.
