«Angelina o el honor de un brigadier / Un marido de ida y vuelta» is the theatre volume by Enrique Jardiel Poncela published by Espasa Calpe in paperback.
The volume brings together two plays: in «Angelina o el honor de un brigadier», Jardiel parodies the nineteenth-century realist drama and offers the first sample of his «teatro sin corazón»; in «Un marido de ida y vuelta», a farce of the implausible written between 1936 and 1943, he combines humour and poetry.
Spanish-language edition of 240 pages, included in the Austral Collection of Espasa Calpe as an extra volume (no. 1533).
For fans of twentieth-century Spanish comic theatre and of Jardiel Poncela's stage renewal.
Enrique Jardiel Poncela was a Spanish playwright and novelist who wrote mostly humorous works.
