«Alice» is the contemporary romance novel by Milena Agus, published by Alfaguara in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
Alice leaves her village and moves into her aunt's flat, in a building facing the sea in Sardinia. There she strikes up relationships with neighbours who end up being like a family: an elderly violinist, a self-taught boy and a jealous young woman. The novel delicately portrays loneliness, love and the search for happiness in everyday life.
Translated from the Italian by Celia Filipetto. Belongs to the Alfaguara Literaturas collection.
Aimed at adult readers of contemporary romance and literary fiction interested in everyday life and human relationships.
