«Afonies. Narradora a la recerca de veus» is a short story collection by Elisabet Jané, published by Onada Edicions in paperback (112 pages, in Catalan).
In these stories, several women experience extreme or unusual situations: a teacher who kills, a drug addict who detests fados, a climber who sleeps with a rope, and a woman who keeps her husband in the freezer. As they tell their tales, they seek to listen to and understand themselves, with a tone that oscillates between the amusing, the bleak, and the hopeful.
Winner of the II Premi de Narrativa Vila de la Sénia, it is volume 18 of the Narratives, sèrie Minor collection. Published in 2024, it is the author's second published work after the novel Senyores (2019).
According to publisher data, it is intended for readers aged 16 and up.
