«¡Adiós, Cordera! y otros cuentos» is an anthology of short stories by Leopoldo Alas «Clarín», published by Ediciones Gaviota in hardback (324 pages).
A collection of short stories in which emotion and irony intersect to offer a portrait of the customs and scenes of the era, with both rural and urban settings. Alas's gaze rests delicately on the most disadvantaged characters and alternates a cordial vein with a satirical one in a representative sample of his short fiction.
It belongs to the Trébol collection. This is the second edition and includes illustrations by Irene Areal.
Recommended for readers aged 16 and over interested in classic Spanish literature.

Leopoldo Enrique García-Alas y Ureña, also known as Clarín, was a Spanish realist novelist and journalist born in Zamora. His inflammatory articles, known as paliques (“chitchat”), as well as his advocacy of liberalism and anti-clericalism, made him a formidable and controversial critical voice. He died in Oviedo.
