«2000, nell'anno del Signore» is the essay by Renzo Baschera, published by Mondadori in paperback (229 pages, in Italian).
Renzo Baschera examines medieval prophecies about the year 2000 and connects them with real events of the 20th century: the election of a Slavic cardinal as pope, perestroika or new epidemics. He brings back authors such as Nostradamus or Saint John, as well as obscure monks, Aztec astrologers, Egyptian priests and Rosicrucian alchemists; the common message is a warning.
This is the first edition, published in 1989 in the Arcana collection by Mondadori (no. 31), and includes bibliographical references.
For readers interested in prophecies, esotericism and the symbolism of the turn of the millennium.
