Gordon Aalborg was born in Alberta, Canada, in 1942.
He began his professional career working as a reporter and bureau chief at The Edmonton Journal.
He moved to Australia in the 70s to work as a freelance journalist and radio and television broadcaster.
He created the pseudonym Victoria Gordon to prove that a man could write successful romance novels.
He collaborated with his wife, mystery writer Denise Dietz, on the creation of his book Finding Bess.
